The aim of the course is to provide the candidate with sufficient experience in both theoretical and practical teaching to enable him/her to give class rating instruction on single-engine or multi-engine piston aircraft. After obtaining an FI(A) rating, it is a good way of gaining experience and progression if the candidate extends his/her single-engine instructor rating with a multi-engine instructor rating.
What does the training provide?
- 25 theoretical training (learning and teaching module)
- 14 hours of technical training
- 5 hours of practical training (2 hours on simulator and 3 hours on aircraft)
Application criteria:
(a) Multi-engine aircraft:
- a valid licence at least at PPL(A) level
- a Class I or Class II medical certificate equivalent to a licence
- 500 hours of flight time in aeroplanes;
- 30 hours as PIC in the relevant class or type of aeroplane;
(b) Single-engine aircraft:
- a valid licence at least at PPL(A) level
- a Class I or Class II medical certificate equivalent to a licence
- 500 hours of flight time in aeroplanes;
- 30 hours as PIC in aeroplanes of the applicable class or type.
Training language: English and Hungarian
The training is conducted on Cessna 172, Tecnam 2008JC, Tecnam P2006T, Redbird and Entrol simulators.
Training does not include the fees and associated hours for the regulatory competency assessment or the examiner.
