The aim of the course is to provide the candidate with sufficient instructional experience, both theoretical and practical, to enable him/her to become a flight instructor at a level appropriate to his/her licence. During the training, the instructor will acquire all the skills and competencies necessary to be able to adequately transfer the knowledge to be acquired at both theoretical and practical level and to assess the performance of the students according to EASA standards.
What does the training provide?
- 125 hours of theoretical training, including 25 hours of learning and teaching processes, and 100 hours of theoretical training
- 30 hours of practical training, including 25 hours on aircraft and 5 hours on simulators
Application criteria:
- at least 30 hours in a piston-engine aeroplane, including 5 hours in the 6 months prior to commencing training
- hold a PPL(A) or CPL(A) licence
- at least 10 hours of IFR, of which up to 5 hours shall be in FNPT-II or FFS.
- at least 20 cross-country flight hours
- a Class I or Class II medical certificate equivalent to a licence
- successful completion of a 1 hour check flight before commencing training
Training language: English
Training duration: minimum 2 months, but not more than 6 months
Training is conducted on Cessna C172 or Tecnam P2008JC aircraft, Redbird and Entrol simulators.
Training does not include fees and associated hours for the official competency assessment or the examiner.
