What does the training provide?
The integrated ATP(A) course is designed to train pilots from the basics, such as flying single-pilot single-engine aircraft, through instrument flying, to training on multi-pilot multi-engine aircraft types and to obtaining a commercial licence.
The course incudes:
- 850 hours of theoretical training at PPL and ATPL level, plus more than 40 hours of night, UPRT, MCC and type specific training
- KSA training and assessments
- 200 hours of practical training (140 hours in the aircraft and 60 hours in a simulator)
- 13 official theoretical examinations
- CPL/IR, SEP(land) and MEP(land) skill tests
Application criteria:
- 18 years of age
- Passing the physics, mathematics and professional career aptitude tests organised jointly by the University of Debrecen and PHARMAFLIGHT.
- At least B2 intermediate English or IELTS 6.0
- Class 1 medical certificate (EASA requirements)
Training duration: 3 years
Next training start date: September 2024
The course is a joint BSc, English language programme with the University of Debrecen, and is 7 semesters in length. In the 7th semester, the university module system includes type rating on the APS MCC(A) or Airbus A320 simulator, which is not included in the above description.
The training is conducted on Cessna C172, Tecnam P2008JC, Tecnam P2006T aircraft, as well as Redbird and Entrol simulators.
The training does not include the duration of the official theory and skills tests, but covers the first attempt at the corresponding examinations.
You can only apply for a course through the university system. The training starts in September each year.
