It is now three years since PHARMAFLIGHT, founded in 2016, took on the highly complex tasks associated with aviation as an aeromedical examination centre. From August 2020, PHARMAFLIGHT Aeromedical Center Debrecen serves the aeromedical needs of patients from the Eastern Hungarian region and the surrounding countries.

Dr Krisztina Szabó - the flight surgeon of PHARMAFLIGHT Aeromedical Center Debrecen

In the three years since then, the aeromedical centre has gained considerable recognition, largely due to the work of Dr Krisztina Szabó. Dr. Szabó graduated summa cum laude from the University of Debrecen in 2000 with a degree as a general practitioner, and then passed her specialist examinations in internal medicine and gastroenterology. She then trained as an aeromedical doctor and in 2017 she joined PHARMAFLIGHT as an examining flight surgeon. In the meantime, she has also qualified as an occupational physician. In recognition of her dedicated work, she was elected President of the Hungarian Association of Aviation Medical Examiners in 2022. From 1 August 2023, Dr. Krisztina Szabó has been appointed as the Head of the PHARMAFLIGHT Aeromedical Center Debrecen by the Hungarian Aviation Authority on the recommendation of Dr. Enikő Földi, the CEO of the Company.
